Rafting the Lower Pigeon River

Relax and cool off on this 2-hour rafting trip through the Smoky Mountains on a raft with your family and a guide. Minimum age is 3 years old and is perfect for people and families wanting to be near the water, but not yet ready for big whitewater. There are numerous opportunities to swim in flat water and to be introduced to beginning Class I, II, and III whitewater. This is a fun, safe trip for everyone. Your guide will entertain you and maneuver you through the rapids, or you can choose to be captain of your boat.

While you’re here, enjoy a picnic at our riverside outpost or play games with your group.

The Pigeon River is conveniently located less than an hour from prime destinations such as Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville, Knoxville, and Asheville, NC. Spend an afternoon with us and you’ll love it!

Trip Schedules: The Pigeon River is a dam controlled river, therefore we have guaranteed days from Mid May to Mid September determined by Progress Energy.

RAFTING DAYS are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

TRIP TIMES are 1:00pm, 3:30pm, and 5:00pm. We ask that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your trip time in order to allow enough time for check-in and to change clothes if needed.

Although these are the guaranteed days, we raft many other days. Please call to check for availability. Spring is a great time to raft because regular rainfall makes great whitewater!!
