The Itinerary

You will drive to our beautiful location that is conveniently only 1/4 mile from I-40 and located on the Pigeon River. Once your group arrives and parks you will check-in. During check-in you will pay for your trip and everyone will have to have a waiver form signed and completed. (To speed up the process you can print and complete your WAIVER FORM and CHILD WAIVER FORM and have it ready when you arrive.)

You will have an opportunity to change into your rafting clothes at our facility if you didn’t wear them. Be sure to bring proper footwear and a change of dry clothes. We sell river shoes if you need to purchase at that time.

Then we will issue you your proper equipment. A PFD, a helmet, and a paddle. We’re getting ready!! (We are very proud of our high quality equipment and ask that you help us take care of it.)

You will all then listen and participate in our trip talk that covers all the “how-to’s” while you’re on the water. We make the talk entertaining, but it covers serious material that you will be required to know for your whitewater experience.

WE’RE READY TO GO NOW!

Those of you rafting on the Upper section, we load in the bus and enjoy our nothing less than entertaining 6-mile bus ride that ends at the put-in point on the river! You watch your guides unload the boats and then you’re ready to go. Your guide will get you situated in your boats, and once you get in the water, it’s time for a WET, FUN RIDE!!

Your trip ends at our outpost where your vehicle is waiting for you with your nice dry clothes. Change and then don’t forget to come in and see YOUR PHOTO that was taken on the trip! You can purchase it in print or on CD. We also have great t-shirts, hats, and other souvenirs available for purchase.

We love hearing and sharing your exciting stories after the trip, so hang out and enjoy a picnic, play some outside games, or just sit back and laugh for a while.

Rafting Trips...

The UPPER PIGEON is an exciting 2 hour whitewater trip with continuous class III-IV rapids. This fully guided trip is perfect for groups with beginners or intermediate paddlers. Minimum age is 8 years old or 70 lbs.

The LOWER PIGEON is a fun 2 hour rafting experience for people who aren’t quite ready for big whitewater but enjoy the outdoors. Children as young as 3 years old are welcomed on this mild introductory whitewater trip. We’ll have fun splashing and swimming if you like or just relaxing in the boat.

The RUSSELL FORK in Eastern Kentucky is in the Breaks Interstate Park and offers rafting trips to a variety of experience levels. The Upper and Lower sections are great for first timers. The gorge section is for the adrenaline seekers who already have class IV-V whitewater experience and want the ride everyone talks about. The best whitewater on the east coast is on the Russell Fork Gorge!
