Outdoor Adventures, Inc. is owned and operated by Jessica Booth.
“I grew up in the rafting business. I gained a love for the water and for introducing people to a new experience. I guided rafting trips for 12 years in the North Carolina and Tennessee areas. After graduating from Appalachian State University with a degree in broadcast production, I decided I wanted to keep the fun in my life and stay in the mountains, so I opened my own whitewater rafting business on the Pigeon River in 2002.”
The business has grown from a few employees and running vans with a couple of rafts to a few more employees and a bus and more rafts and more people! I’m proud of the growth as well as the ability to keep it fun and keep the motivation that started it… my love for the outdoors and rafting.
We have developed a close-knit staff and consider ourselves like family and we welcome our guests the same way. All of us enjoy what we do and that’s obvious when you visit our outpost. Our love for the outdoors and rafting is shared with people who come from all over the country to experience this unforgettable experience with us.
“I truly enjoy seeing people’s reactions and listening to their stories after their trips. My favorite question to guests is ‘How was it?!’ I love hearing all the excited people who just experienced their first time or their kids’ first times. People leave happier than they came. Making memories is what it’s all about!”
